End Of Term Announcements

1) The session has passed so quickly and tonight is our last class!

We have surveys for you all to fill out for the end of the term. We really appreciate your feedback and really do use it to improve and modify our program to better meet your needs. Please arrive 5 minutes early to fill out a survey in class. If you prefer to fill it out online or can not attend class tomorrow here is a link:

2) Intermediate class

We will be continuing last class. Please arrive 5 mins early to fill out a survey. Remember your water and a change of clothes because we're going to be doing lots of dancing!

 

Christmas Dance - Puttin' On The Ritz - Friday 18th December

Mark your calendars and save the date. On Friday, December 18th at the Elk's Lodge get your Charleston on at our Puttin' on the Glitz event. Pull out your top hats, and fancy dresses and dance the night away. Formal attire and 1920s/1930s formal wear is encouraged. There will be a live jazz band for the evening!

We have assembled our very own jazz band for the evening comprised of Brian Way, Terry Campbell, Andrew McCarthy, Greg Bruce, and Chris Davis. 

$12 cover or $10 with a non-perishable FOOD ITEM for the local food bank. This is a 19+ event.

As always, BEGINNERS ARE WELCOME! We'll have an introductory lesson to kick off the night, where we'll teach you the very basics, with a few cool moves to keep you going for the evening.

NO PARTNER REQUIRED!!! Bring as many people as you want - we'll make sure you're dancing all night long regardless of whether you show up with ten people or solo.

Here's the schedule:
8:30 pm: Doors open
9 pm: Beginner's 1920s Charleston lesson
10 pm: Open dancing with live music

New Venue and New Class Times

A new session of swing dance classes starts Tuesday, September 15 at Cochrane United Church.

Everyone is welcome to drop by our first lesson, absolute beginners are welcome and there is NO PARTNER REQUIRED!

**There are a few volunteer opportunities available in exchange for a free 6-week session (and the pleasure of getting more involved!). First come first served, but if you're in financial need please get in touch. Contact Alanna at lindyhopontherock@gmail.com. It's easier to keep track of things through email.
