Classes Are Back! Lindy Hop on the Rock Resumes January 13

Happy New Year, Swing Cats!

We hope you had a relaxing and festive holiday season. We’re excited to kick off the new year by announcing that Lindy Hop on the Rock’s partnered dance classes resume on Tuesday, January 13!
Registration is now open, so if you’re looking for something fun and energizing to do this winter, head over to lindyhopontherock.com/registration to sign up.

We have lots of great new material planned for this session:

  • New to swing dancing? Our beginner-friendly “Fundamentals” class is the perfect place to start.

  • Continuing dancers? We’ll have new materials in the in the “Fundamentals” class for you too.

  • More experienced dancers: Our “Bridging Concepts” class is designed to help you deepen your understanding and take your dancing to the next level. If you’ve been dancing with us for a year this is the place for you.

A Few Important Updates for the Upcoming Session:

-New Start Time for Bridging Concepts
Based on student feedback, the Bridging Concepts class will now start at 8:45 PM. With an earlier start, we’re hoping for fresher minds, more focus, and even better learning experience—for students (and instructors alike)!

-Social Dance – New End Time: 8:45 PM
Because of the earlier Bridging Concepts start, the social dance will now end 15 minutes earlier.
Remember: all class registrations (Fundamentals or Bridging Concepts) include free entry to the social dance. The social is the best place to practice what you learn in class—and it’s a big part of why we take classes!

-Jazz Jam at the Majestic Theatre – Thursday, January 8, 2026 | 7:30 PM

We had such a great time dancing to live music at our December Holiday Swing Dance! We’re excited to share that Heidi Burns, one of the musicians from that night, is hosting a live jazz performance at the Majestic Theatre on Thursday, January 8 at 7:30 PM.

It’s a wonderful chance to enjoy jazz standards and dance “out in the wild” before classes start up again. Lindy Hop on the Rock will be there—come dance with us!
